About Alexis

I have been a fully registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) since 2007. Following the completion of my Midwifery BSc I have worked in both the NHS and private practice. Over the years I have been based at a large London hospital in an award winning case-loading team and have had experience working in all areas of midwifery.

After I moved to Brighton with my young family I worked in antenatal and postnatal education, whilst co-writing two Penguin published perinatal books, ‘The little book of self-care for new mums‘ and ‘The little book of self-care for mums to be‘.

I have continued to evolve my career by fulfilling a long term dream of mine, to complete a Diploma in ‘Midwifery Complementary Therapies’, and now offer a number of perinatal treatments in Brighton and hove and surrounding areas.

As a mother of 3 children myself, I know how it feels to navigate the full spectrum of emotions and experiences that the journey to parenthood can bring into your life. My roles as both a Midwife and a Mother have shaped the way I work with my clients, my empathy and my understanding, which has, in turn, expanded the passion I have for holding space for you through your pregnancy, birth and postnatal year.

I really look forward to meeting and supporting you.

Call me on 07789814207 to discover more.

I am fully insured with Fedant as a Midwife complementary therapist, and have a current clear CRB.

I can’t sing Alexis’s praises highly enough. I was so anxious about having my 3rd baby but Alexis talked me through my fears and gave me some uber practical tools for overcoming them and staying in control, which for me was the deal breaker that transformed my birth experience.
