About Alexis

I have been a fully registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) since 2007. Following the completion of my Midwifery BSc I have worked in both the NHS and private practice. Over the years I have been based at a large London hospital in an award winning case-loading team working in all areas of midwifery.

I moved to Brighton with my young family and I have since worked in antenatal and postnatal education alongside co-writing two Penguin published books, ‘The little book of self-care for new mums‘ and ‘The little book of self-care for mums to be‘.

I co-run ‘The Mother Box’ focused on holistic wellbeing products and host the popular podcast, ‘Notes from the Mother Box‘ with my wonderful work partner, Beccy Hands (podcast available on all major podcast platforms).

I continued my evolving career by completing a Diploma in ‘Midwifery Complementary Therapies’ and offer a number of treatments (listed below) holding a particular affection for post-due date treatments and pregnancy/postnatal stress and anxiety support.

As a mother of 3 children myself, I know how it feels to navigate the full spectrum of thoughts, emotions and experiences that the journey to parenthood can bring with it. My roles as both a Midwife and a Mother have shaped the way I work and the passion I have for holding space for you through your pregnancy, births and during those early months of parenthood.

I really look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you prepare for the birth and transition to parenthood that you deserve.

I am fully insured with Fedant as a Midwife complementary therapist, and have a current clear CRB.

I can’t sing Alexis’s praises highly enough. I was so anxious about having my 3rd baby but Alexis talked me through my fears and gave me some uber practical tools for overcoming them and staying in control, which for me was the deal breaker that transformed my birth experience.
